I totally missed that one, huh? They blew right past the Cape. It isn't a long paddle, for sure, and if conditions allow there's no reason to stop. They did get an early start.
The place they landed at on Burnett Bay is close to a cabin built by Randall Washburne back in the day. The folks at westcoastpaddler.com got together and replaced the cabin's wood stove with a thing of beauty built by one of the board regulars. There are lots of wonderful photos on line that were taken there.
