South Campania Island

Around midnight last night the weather seems to have calmed to a relatively steady 10 - 12 knots out of the south. While not ideal, this is a great improvement over the storm yesterday. Today's check in shows about 10 nautical miles of progress to the south. Tomorrow winds are forecast to shift to the north. This will be one of their first tailwind days; I'm sure it will be appreciated!

Some experienced readers have included me in speculation about tomorrow's plan. High slack is at 5am. With a favorable tide and a tail wind they should be able to make a good crossing to the south. In 2006 Jon went to Princess Royal Island. They have several options, including Aristazabal Island, and many more to the south.

I have updated the Google map database. Today's link is http://web.cecs.pdx.edu/~hook/Pilgrims/110705Pilgrims.kmz.
